Al Shiraa Lighting Fixture

"Al Shiraa" is a wall mounted task light fixture inspired from Sail Boat artworks by the American Artist Linda Olsen. To continue the summer look and feel of the designed bedroom the light fixture is an abstract design of a boats' sail. The light fixture is made out of brushed brass and has a curved triangular form that is derived from the form and shape of  the sail when affected by the wind. A triangular slit is placed towards the right of the light fixture to depict the mainsail and headsail parts of the sailing boat. The purpose of this light is to act as both a task and ambient wall mounted light fixture. This is achieved by having direct and indirect operating LED light strips. The direct light source operates as a task light while the indirect light source operates as an ambient light.
